DEDICATIONS

This album is dedicated to Chuch Magee and Tony Zemaitis. Chuch was a close friend of Ronnie’s and worked for more than 30 years as his guitar technician. The Stones used to employ him as ”Backline Crew Chief“. Together with Kurt he picked the songs for this album and helped with lost lyrics. Sadly enough he did not live to enjoy the result of his participation. He passed away in 2002. Just a few months later Tony Zemaitis followed him. The original idea had been, that Tony Zemaitis should play on the song ”Ooh La La“. But — irony of fate — the solo was played later by Keith Smart, a close friend of Tony’s, on a acoustic Zemaitis guitar, that once belonged to Ronnie Lane of Small Faces/Faces fame, who had used the very instrument during the recording sessions for the longplayer ”Ooh La La“!

A whole maxi with outtakes is dedicated to Nikki Sudden. He passed away in March 2006 shortly after a gig he had played in New York City with his idol Alan Merrill. It was just the second time those two musicians worked together — the first time was in August 2005, when parts of this album were recorded in a small studio in the heart of Switzerland …!
